Mind. Blown. This place is unreal! I’ve been hoping they decide to franchise ever since I left! And guys, if you’re out there reading this….please consider shipping nationwide!!! Please!! Please!!

As a vegan, I have certainly not been to a counter and uttered the words “1/2 a pound of turkey, 1/4 pound of pastrami, a pound of ribs” for a meal I was going to eat. I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. What a trip!

This “butcher” is 100% plant-based & 100% genius. The creativity that comes with mimicking the taste of meat using strictly plant-based proteins is fascinating to me. This place changes the vegan game completely.

I can’t ignore the controversy of a place like this….I get that some vegans are against eating faux meat. For some reason they think this sends the message that we need a replacement for meat, are craving it yada yada. I, on the other hand, choose to look at it as such…This opens the door for meat-eaters who perhaps are shocked to find they can enjoy a hearty meal that doesn’t include actual meat. Perhaps those people may pop in here for a tasty sammy instead of going elsewhere, but now that meal is completely cruelty-free. One less. I’m all about it.

I ordered the sammy of the day which was phenomenal. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was but it was on a “buttery” brioche bun and had “chicken”, veggie-filled slaw, and dressing like Thousand Island. While it wasn’t the prettiest sammy, it was fab! It had a perfect texture of shredded meat and quite a bite to it. I’m salivating right now thinking about it. Omg!

My daughter had the Korean BBQ rib and downed it like a champ. Not before I tasted a bite. It was quite good!! She ate it cold and asked for another!

My other daughter, also a vegetarian couldn’t get behind the meatless meat thing. She ate dairy-free ice cream they sell in pints and LOVED it! We tried both maple and birthday cake. Both winners!

I also picked up some vegan garlic mayo I’ve been using and LOVE!! “Fish” sauce which I have never seen vegan before and that will allow me now to cook up some Asian inspired recipes I’ve been avoiding because of this missing ingredient. Their lemon pepper “parm” has been topping dishes at our house lately too.

I absolutely LOVED this place and I didn’t even try 1/4 of what they have to offer. LOVED!
